Between the weather and the fact that Erin and Ethan are suffering from jetlag, we decided this day would be a great day to do some sightseeing from the car.
We traveled over to Sweden (so Erin and Ethan could say they had been there) and stayed for a few hours. On the way back, we crossed the Baltic Sea (at the shortest distance between Denmark and Sweden) and stopped at the Kroneborg Castle, otherwise known as Hamlet's Castle.
It is the most famous castle among many in Denmark and it was spectacular. We toured through the castle and then took the coastal drive down into Copenhagen.
It is past time to be in bed, so I am off...big day tomorrow.

Fun day. It is always fun with family! Wonderful pictures. Looks like you had a little wind as well (flags flying). Did you stop to eat??? Hope so. L&P
ReplyDeleteYes...as it turned out we stopped to eat in Sweden. Hold on to your hat....we stopped at a place called Max ...which is Sweden's answer to McDonalds. The food is similar too. You would think we would have sought out something authentically Swedish. Oh well....you learn right?

It was kind of disappointing. I think we might be better to stay away from fast food chains! I\ll post pictures of some of the Danish sweets we got yesterday. You will love them.
DeleteYes...the rain is a great contributing factor. Since I love the rain so much, I am also grateful for how lovely it makes the world.
