All Things Bright and Beautiful

SK went out to buy another plant this morning and settled it in our little garden.  It makes me so happy!  Both the dark pink and the blue are supposed to grow up to 3 feet tall.  So I will be excited to watch their development.  The little blue one has been in the ground now for a couple of weeks and it just keeps getting prettier.

The poor little white one is under seige from an unseen pest.  SK is doing battle with them and has been out spraying.  I hope the plant will recover.  It has beautiful blossoms and was doing so well.

Isn't it wonderful how nature can make your spirit soar?  We have the windows open nearly all day every day.  The breezes waft through the apartment and their sound, as well as the many different birds' songs add to the delight of the day.

The ever-changing face of the lake endlessly fascinates me.  One day it is glass and another it is a roiling kettle of soup.  The sun, whether rising or setting casts soft reflections and breaks the colors of the lake into sparkling dots.  There are a dozen or more types of fowl here living on the lake and its shores, each with a different song or cry.

And of course, the stream of people who walk/run/stroll/bicycle past our windows is a constant.  I need never look at the weather online because looking out the window gives me a good idea how to dress.

Did I mention the rain?....the smell....the sound as it batters the windows and patters onto the trees and shrubs.....the sight as it pelts the lake or softly rinses the sidewalks and grass.

Perhaps my favorite site from my perch in the loft is the trees.  They are all shades of green,  They are tall and stately.  Their leaves and branches dance gracefully in the wind, and the light shimmers on their surfaces.  The gentle sound of the breezes playing in the trees is a soothing lullaby.

Ah...Copenhagen.
