Day 3 without the Internet

Another beautiful Fall Day in Copenhagen!  I Awoke to the Sound of rain......what is it about that sound?  There was another sound equally as enchanting......children's laughter. Even in the rain, there were  dozens and dozens of children on the lake path......running and laughing.  They were in large groups with 2 or 3 adults as though they were school classes.  I could only guess that they were out for their morning exercise.  Some were holding hands.  They are so cute.

Speaking of cute, Eliza and Rebekah are utterly adorable.  Little Rebekah is so sweet.... So cute, and just feels so wonderful in my arms.  And so responsive to us talking to her.  Her bright little eyes light up as she observes all that comes into her field of vision.

And Eliza.  She is a little beauty.....and so smart.  I am positive she understands everything I say to her.  She is so off-schedule and yet so good-natured.

What a treat for us.

SK took them to Vor Frue Kirke, strøget, ny havn, and the RoundTower, which, according to the "book" (an all-around and all-informative best of Denmark travel book) has the best view of Copenhagen.  Both Lia and Erin came to Copenhagen with those great little DK  books marked up and dog-eared and much read.

I spent the day making a ton of lasagne and then went to the center where I had some wonderful time visiting with some really dear young people.  The whole evening was really great.  The lasagne was a success.

Lia and Peter and the little girls came in for about 15 minutes and I was so proud!....of my cute wonderful little family and my great Copenhagen family.

SK stayed home from Institute and Lia came back at 7:30 to meet my Italian friend Monia.  They stayed in the kitchen and visited with each other and all the YSAs who came in during the course of the evening.

About 10, our YSA president came into the kitchen and announced that he and several others wanted to finish cleaning....and shooed me out of the center.  So Lia and I walked home and played cards with SK and Peter.  I was THE loser.

Except for that....it has been lovely!

  1. Such a wonderful day - especially with those little grand kids - and the big kids enjoying the lasagna. How nice of them to finish up the cleaning so that you could spend time with your family. L&P

  2. They were so cute about their command decision that I could not resist. And I appreciated their thoughtfulness so much. L&P
