Angels.....and Other People

From what I hear, people here are getting colds and being sick for a couple of weeks or more.  I talked to Heidi (one of our YSAs) at Institute this evening, and she still has a cough from about 4 weeks ago!  Sster Sederholm (Mission President's wife) said that she talked to one of our young elders who said he hasn't been able to breathe for a week (nasal congestion).

I think that should help me be patient.  If you have been reading for the last few days, you know that I have precious little to show for the days gone by.  I have rested and slept mostly....lots of liquids and other stuff easy on the digestion..but today I kicked it up a notch.  I took an Aleve D....made for coughs and colds.  It is a 12-hour pill and it seemed to have worked.

I had the lesson prepared to give at the center tonight.  I was asked to teach everybody, and they were willing to put up with my English....there is no way under the sun that I could teach in Danish.  I was looking forward to it, because it was all about section 109 of the Doctrine and Covenants....the dedicatory prayer of the Kirtland Temple.  I was worried about having a coughing fit, but it never happened!  Christian (who will be leaving on his mission in a month) got the computer and TV connected and set up to show President Uchtdorft's talk about living up to our privileges.  I love that little Mormon Message!!!!  If you haven't seen it before, check out this link:

There were some wonderful wonderful comments made about that period in Church history, spiritual gifts and personal insights....it was a treat to be able to teach them.  I come away from an experience like that so very grateful for these great young people and grateful to be able to share my testimony with them.  Their testimonies shine through in all they say.

Victoria SAs) once again brought an amazing array of food from the food catering business where she works.  There were several kinds of meats and a bunch of salads and varying sauces.  It was more than enough to feed everyone - twice!  Yet, since we weren't sure how much food there would be, Kasper cooked a beef roast.  It was so fun to watch!  He is always so kind to tell me everything he is doing and why.  Maybe I will return home to Arizona a cook!

He has been offered a job at one of the most prestigious restaurants in Copenhagen....it even has a Michelin star, which is worth everything if you are an up and coming chef.  It will be a terrific place to work - on his resume, and the training and hands-on experience he will receive will be excellent.  He will even be earning a nice wage....good in every way.

With that new job, he will only be able to cook at the center every other week.  But  he told me that he will come in on Mondays every other week to cook for the center's Thursday night meal.

Tonight in class we talked about angels for a few minutes....well Kasper, Victoria, Christian and all the young people here are angels to me.
