Who Are You and What Have You Done With My Husband?

SK cutting and chopping vegetables

Heretofore, this man's cooking has been macaroni and cheese.  The kids used to tease that he couldn't find his way around the kitchen.  He made this soup all by himself....even seasoned it!  It is the winter root vegetable soup.  We had leftover sweet potatoes, onions and potatoes.  We are not sick of it yet.  We are liking it more and more!

Yes....this is the man who says he doesn't like to wear coats.  He is wearing this one a lot.  He is also using an umbrella!
Yes...that is ...indeed Stanford K with the umbrella!

Family Home evening at the Center was great tonight.  The YSAs always teach the lesson, and they do a great job.  Sometimes I just listen in Danish and catch just enough to know the subject, and to feel the spirit of what they say.  Other times like tonight, someone sits behind me and leans forward to whisper the translation...which is always so nice.
Once again they stayed and visited.  We had a soccer player from the Danish national team come tonight!  He was a great young man who participated in everything.  He is very good at ping pong too.
They always hug everyone as they say good-bye.  It is such a lovely custom.

  1. He is so cute. I won't be surprised if he turns out to be a great cook!

I'm surprised he carries an umbrella, though. Isn't the Mary Poppins umbrella big enough to cover the two of you plus the angels on your right and on your left?!

    1. The Mary Poppins is so big that he worries we will put someone's eye out as we walk along the streets! But he will use it if he gets to hold it. Have you ever tried to walk under an umbrella with someone else in charge? You keep getting stabbed in the head. He actually carries his own little umbrella! And sometimes he will walk with me, and we both hold it.

  2. I think Stan looks more rested and good than I have seen him in years. This obviously agrees with him.
